Cannabis May Be Legal In New Jersey…

But it is not accessible.

Heather Kaiser Getting Ready To Disrupt!

It’s Women’s History Month, and Sixx Cool Moms wants to acknowledge the incredible moms on our team who are actively creating history.

Cannabis in New Jersey is legal for both medicinal use and recreational use according to Wikipedia. An amendment to the State constitution legalizing cannabis became effective on January 1, 2021, and enabling legislation and related bills were signed into law by governor Phil Murphy on February 22, 2021.

Today the moderator of Sixx Cool Moms of Northern New Jersey, Heather Kaiser, is heading to Trenton New Jersey to speak at the State’s public Cannabis Regulatory Commission meeting. Below is her story and her speech.

“The state did a horrible job of marketing the legalization of cannabis, especially in the area of dispelling myth, alleviating stigma, and touting the benefits of the plant. The general public has no idea of the amount of regulations all cannabis businesses have to follow, whether you’re growing, manufacturing, distributing, selling, or delivering.

This is why it’s so difficult to garner public support in opening a store. Towns and landlords have free reign to cripple us, and it’s not fair. The only people in this industry who are making money right now are the large multi-state companies like Ascend, the lawyers, and the consultants. Meanwhile, the rest of us are out here fighting each other for a storefront, town approval, and the naysayers.”
