From statement accessories to effortless staples, here’s what’s in this season and how to make it work for real life, from professional stylist Stephanie Weiss.

Spring style trends are in, and they are everywhere.

This season is full of contrast, bold and soft, polished and playful, patterns mixed with classics. It might feel like anything goes, because it kind of does.

Let’s take a look at what’s trending for spring and summer. And remember, at the end of the day, wear what you love and what makes you feel good. If you march to your own tune, even better. You be you.

Brooches

Brooches are back in a big way. Whether vintage or new, a family heirloom or a flea market find, they add personality and charm.

They can be small and sparkly, oversized and sculptural, acrylic or metal. Try clustering them together, placing them asymmetrically on a coat, or adding one to a blazer, sweater, hat, jacket, or scarf.

Have fun with it.

Capes and Cape Tops

This look is effortlessly elevated, chic, sophisticated, and just a little dramatic in the best way.

Capes and cape-style tops are perfect if you prefer something flowy or don’t love a fitted sleeve. They add movement and subtle drama to any outfit.

Slingback Shoes

Slingbacks are having a major moment.

They are timeless, sophisticated, and instantly elevate any look. Pair them with dresses, skirts, jeans, or trousers.

If comfort is a concern, opt for a kitten heel. You’ll get the elevated look without sacrificing comfort. Peep-toe slingbacks are also trending this season.

Texture

Texture is everywhere right now.

Think boucle, suede, leather trim, and chunky knits. Adding texture instead of more color brings dimension and depth to your outfit in a subtle, elevated way.

Chunky Beaded Necklaces

Chunky beads are playful, feminine, and full of personality.

Layer multiple strands or keep it simple with one bold piece. Go tonal or stick to a single color for a clean statement.

Olive Green Pants

Olive green is the new neutral.

It pairs beautifully with cream, black, navy, denim, gray, and even pastels. A versatile piece that works across seasons.

Mixing Prints

This trend may push you slightly outside your comfort zone, but that’s part of the fun.

Try stripes with florals, animal print with plaid, or polka dots with florals. It’s bold, a little daring, and very expressive. Adding a touch of lace, like a lace-trim camisole or skirt detail, brings in a soft, beautiful contrast.

Triangle Scarves

Triangle scarves are everywhere right now.

Wear one loosely around your neck, tied to your jacket or blazer, or even styled at the hip. It’s an easy way to make a simple outfit feel styled and polished.

Ballet Sneaker Flats

A blend between a ballet flat and a sneaker, these are both feminine and comfortable.

They pair perfectly with straight-leg jeans, cropped trousers, and skirts. Fun, easy, and wearable.

Final Thoughts

Fashion should be fun. It’s a way to express your mood, your personality, and your creativity.

So play with spring styles, explore what feels good, and make it your own.

Happy spring!
