Your Weekend, Sorted: 10 Things to Do Around Montgomery County, November 6–8, 2026
We found a pretty good argument for letting the kids have chocolate before lunch in Boyds. We also found a 1920s murder mystery in Rockville if you’d prefer to leave them home. Here’s what’s happening around Montgomery County this weekend, plus one very good reason to take Metro into DC.
Weekend spotlight in Boyds

Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse, 18031 Central Park Circle, Boyds

Local roasters and chocolatiers are taking over the fieldhouse in Boyds. You can taste your way around more than 150 vendors while the kids meet Chunk the Chocolate Bar and turn coffee filters into butterflies. Our advice? Do a lap before you commit to dessert.
One-day admission is $17.99 plus a $0.45 fee online through Friday at 11:50 pm, or $20 at the door. Kids under 12 get in free with a ticketed parent or guardian.

B&O Railroad Station Open House
Sat, Nov 7, 10 am–2 pm

The museum is free. The 11 am–noon talk is $8. The 1–2:30 pm hike is $10, or $8 for ages 6–14 and 65+. Online booking for both closes at noon Friday, Nov 6. Limited walk-up tickets may be available.
